Environmental Science CurriculumAt Waters, we work to tie together our K-8 science curriculum with nature. This means that students plant, harvest seeds, and learn how to care for the land during fall and spring quarters. All lessons are NGSS-aligned and hands on, and students spend much of their class time outside.
Going Green at WatersEnvironmental science and being ecologically minded do not just stop in class. Students at Waters compost and recycle breakfast and lunch waste to help reduce items sent to landfills.

What Are We Growing? We always have a lot growing outside in our student beds! Even if you don't see them every season, there are many plants under the soil waiting for spring.
What Is Growing on Campus?
Check out this Google Map of the tress growing on Waters' Campus made by Openlands. Only trees with a DBH greater than 1.5 inches were counted.
