Get Involved

There are so so many ways parents can help out at Waters School. It takes a village and eager community to achieve school success. So whether you have an hour to sharpen pencils, or a year to plan an event, your help can make a difference.

Please be aware that for this school year (2018-2019), ALL volunteers at Waters must go through the volunteer approval process. If parents are NOT on the approved list, they will not be allowed to accompany children on field trips, field day, walk-a-thon, etc.  This is a mandate that has been set forth from Central Office. Please see the CPS Volunteer Programs Website to learn about how to register to volunteer this fall.

Note that once you fill out the form on-line, you should receive an email within a few days.  At that time, you will need to bring your ID to the main office to be photocopied. We ask that you do this as soon as possible so that when teachers are requesting for you to be approved to chaperone a trip, you will be on a list ahead of time.  (Please don’t wait until the morning of the field trip to come and show your ID.) Thank you.

Classroom teachers will share information as needed when they are looking for volunteers.
