BUDGET 101 Presentation for Parents
Monday April 27, 6:00 pm-7:30 pm
Principal Crespo invites you to participate in a presentation about Waters annual school budget. While FY16 has not been released, this is an opportunity to learn more about budget allocations at Waters. This is "workshop" to help parents better understand how the CIWP(Continuous Improvement Work Plan) and a CPS neighborhood school budget impacts decision-making. Using Waters FY15 budget as an example, we will cover SBB (Student-Based Budgeting), SGSA (state funding), teacher allocation, enrollment counts, Diverse Learners, and more. The presentation will also address class size, building capacity, classroom usage, and a brief history of the last decade at Waters.
After the "Budget 101" presentation, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions. This is a learning opportunity for all parties involved. We look forward to seeing you.
