CIWP Priorities 2026-2029
(Continuous Improvement Work Plan)
Waters Uses These Priorities as the School's Vision for the Next Three Years

Curriculum & Instruction
If we... build schoolwide structures for the consistent, collaborative analysis of academic and SEL data that include intentional communication loops between staff, students, and families regarding language supports and individual learning profiles,

Then we will see... teachers providing responsive Tier 1 instruction with appropriate scaffolds (linguistic and academic) and students engaging in complex, high-interest tasks that are aligned to their articulated individual goals,

Which leads to... a cohesive MTSS system where Hispanic Students and Diverse Learners receive inclusive, responsive instruction that eliminates barriers to growth, resulting in increased performance on the IAR.

The natural path of the Chicago River once flowed through where our school currently stands. The rectangle below shows the outline of Waters' campus. The current path of the river, after being channeled, is on the left.
