VOLUNTEER
Parent volunteers are a vital part of our community and support our school in a number of ways:

Become a Volunteer
CPS requires all volunteers to submit an online application and photo ID to the Office of Family and Community Engagement's Volunteer Programs. Interested volunteers are encouraged to review the CPS Volunteer policy.
Volunteer Coordinators
We are two Waters Moms, Kathleen Matuszewich and Amy Yoder.

We organize (and try to delegate tasks to) our many parent volunteers. We see ourselves as the link between administrative & staff needs and an enthusiastic group of energetic parents seeking involvement.

Email us to get involved.

We have ongoing needs and project specific needs, a menu of ways to donate your time and energy - you chose what works best for you. We communicate volunteer needs through the Green Notes, as well as post volunteer needs on the website and Waters Community Facebook page.

Important Message about Non-Discrimination at Waters:

Our school adheres to the CPS Comprehensive Non-Discrimination, Harassment, Sexual Harassment, Sexual Misconduct and Retaliation Policy, which outlines the District’s comprehensive approach to provide a safe working and learning environment at Waters and other schools across the city. This means that, at our school, we do not discriminate based on protected categories such as race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation, as well as others outlined in the policy.
For guidance on handling incidents, concerns, or inquiries related to this policy, please reference this webpage.
