Local School Councils are responsible for:
​
  • Approving the school based academic plan Continuous Improvement Work Plan (CIWP)
  • Approving the alignment of budgetary resources to the CIWP
  • Engaging in the annual evaluation of contract principal’s professional practices
  • Selecting or renewing contract principals

The LSC does not hire or evaluate teachers, determine class sizes, or create the budget. More information.

Waters LSC meetings are are open to the public and generally held the third Monday of every month at 5:30 PM in the Garden Annex. See the school calendar for details. Agendas are posted at school, on this website, and on social media 48 hours prior to the meeting. There is time for public comments in each meeting for questions, comments, and ideas.
