CAPE Programs at Waters
Supporting Communities through Arts Learning Environments (SCALE) is a program funded through a grant with Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education (CAPE) that partners teachers and artists to provide free after-school and summer programs integrating academic and social-emotional learning with the arts. Offerings vary each year. Programs for 2019-2020 are listed below and begin the week of September 24, 2019 and continue until May 2020.
“ECO-Creations" (formerly Costume Creations)
Grades: 4-8

Learn the ins and outs of digital cameras to create beautiful photographs! Photograph people, places, and objects and experiment with your camera to learn about stop motion animation, light painting, and so much more!

Multicultural Dance
Grades: 1-3
Mondays and Tuesdays (starting on Monday, September 30th)
Learn and perform different styles of dance such as Jazz, Salsa, Folk dance, Hip-hop and more. Work with other students to create and perform your own dances!

This year we’re starting an all new and exciting orchestra where you will be able to play and experiment with musical instruments as well as build new ones to create our own musical sound.
