Kindergarteners enjoy lunch in the gym (our cafeteria). New this year: recess before lunch. Kids tend to eat more at lunch if they run around first, and are more ready to hit the classroom after their break.

Waters has the 2-Entrée Lunch Menu.
Full price hot lunch, provided by Chartwell Meals is $1.85 per day.
Full price milk only (for sack lunches) is $0.35 per day.
Children are asked to bring the exact weekly amount necessary to their teacher every Monday.

This year (2009/2010) CPS has started “Universal Breakfasts”. Every CPS student can “Grab and Go” with a breakfast bag available to him every morning. Free of charge. This CPS Board believes that many children could accomplish more in school with something in their stomach and that many kids may come to school unfed.
