We’re happy to let you know that late yesterday, the District and the Chicago Teachers Union reached a tentative agreement on a contract. Thanks to the goodwill and commitment of so many around the bargaining table, there will not be a strike - and all CPS schools will be in session today, Tuesday, October 11. All employees should report to their regular locations at their normal start times.
We are grateful for your continued focus on our students throughout the contract negotiations, and we’re looking forward to another remarkable year in our classrooms together - beginning today.
