Second semester's visual arts exhibit, Avatars, Chibis & Superflat (Inspired by Takashi Murakami), takes place on Friday, June 7th, from 3:30-5 pm in the first floor hallway.
As always, it takes a dedicated team of volunteers to transform the first floor hallway into a colorful gallery to display our students' art. And before school ends, we'll need a team to take down the exhibit.
Please sign up to help for an hour or two - any time you can spare will help Mrs. Vecchioni showcase the creative spirit of the Waters' students in their Visual Arts classes

Friends of Amundsen is inviting the 5th-8th graders of Waters Elementary to attend a Spring Sports Clinic on Saturday, May 18th. This will be a super fun event where the junior high students will cycle through 3 sports in a really fun and engaging way. It will be a great chance for kids to check out Amundsen sports, try a new sport (or one they already love), meet Amundsen coaches, and meet the new Athletic Director for Amundsen.
Additionally, this is a great opportunity for our neighborhood junior high students to engage with AHS - their neighborhood 1+ rated school! The goal is to get AHS into the high school decision conversation when these kids are in 5-7th grade. We believe a great way for them to start talking about Amundsen is to let them have some fun on campus and to see all the great things Amundsen has to offer!
