Join Mr. Leki, neighbors, and Waters School families to help restore and maintain the river trail at Berteau Street, a site of many Waters School field ecology trips and a natural gem in our neighborhood. Chicago River Day is an annual metro-wide volunteer day spans the river’s 156-mile system. Volunteers work along the river banks and help to remove litter and sort out recyclables, but can also to support construction of river trails, remove invasive vegetation, and plant native plants.
The Berteau Street river trail is an ongoing project that needs your help! Learn more about Riverbank Neighbors and view the schedule of workdays in case you can't make it this Saturday.
