Thursday, October 27 – Art Room (112B) 3:30-5:00 p.m.
Families are invited to create handmade papel picado for our upcoming Día de lo Muertos Pop-Up Gallery and Parent Ofrenda. All students kindergarten through eighth grade are invited to attend with their parents. This is a free activity to make traditional folk art from Mexico. If you are interested in participating in the workshop, please email Mrs. Vecchioni.
Día de lo Muertos Pop-Up Gallery and Parent Ofrenda
November 2-10 – Main Lobby
Please stop by our community space on the first floor to view our annual Día de lo Muertos exhibit! In addition to our Parent Ofrenda honoring Frida Kahlo, all students currently in visual art will have artworks in the show.
Due to a low harvest of Waters School marigolds this year, any fresh marigolds that you can share from your garden would be greatly appreciated. Please bring to the main office Tuesday or Wednesday November 1 or 2. Thank you for your donation of this important symbol of our celebration!
A Picture Says a Thousand Words
Please stop by the Make and Play collaborative bulletin board by the main office at Report Card Pick-up. We are documenting our first annual Global Cardboard Challenge at Waters School. Over 231 participants including 78 families attended our event!
If you have any photos of the day, please share! Drop them in Mrs. Vecchioni's mailbox and we will add them to our display.
Thank you for your support! Mrs. Vecchioni.
