Thank you to everyone who came out to Tuesday night's LSC meeting. I was amazed how many people braved to cold to join us! At our meeting, we went over the Waters budget, with a special emphasis on the allocation of the money raise by WatersToday. Because of the hard work of WatersToday and the generosity of all our parents and community members who donate, we have been able to add Chromebook carts to our classrooms, keep our essentials fully stocked with supplies, and we will have a new nature playspace coming in the Spring (plus much, much more!). None of this would be possible without your donations. Our next meeting will be on January 21st and will be one of the most important meetings of the school year where we will present the CIWP, or Continuous Improvement Work Plan. The CIWP is the plan, formulated by our teachers, that Waters will follow to meet CPS standards and hit our growth targets. We hope to see everyone there as this meeting gives real insight into the educational philosophy and techniques employed by our staff. Please contact me if you have any questions.
