Battery and Small Electronic Recycling
Wednesday, November 29 through Monday, December 4 – Waters Main Entrance
The Waters' 5th grade Cub Scouts Pack 3894 is collecting hard-to-recycle items this week, starting Wednesday, specifically old batteries and small electronics. Collection bins will be in the main entrance near the fish tank. These items are not allowed in the city's blue bins and will be taken to the City of Chicago Household Chemicals and Computer Recycling Facility. Electronics accepted include all computer related equipment, cell phones, printers/copiers/scanners/fax machines, TVs, DVD players, digital music players, video game consoles, and related cables. Items not accepted include household appliances, power tools, cameras, calculators, and CDs/DVDs/tapes. (See the full list here).
