![]() With both a winter weather advisory and wind chill advisory this weekend, CPS is working through the weekend to ensure schools will be open on Monday. Engineers and custodians will begin working Saturday evening, plowing and shoveling the areas around the school (if the snow does come), and they will salt on Sunday. With the brutal temps expected on Sunday into Monday, Central Office wants to do snow removal sooner than later before it turns to ice. While the engineer and custodians are here, they will also check the boilers and to make sure everything is working and operational. Please be reminded that there are a number of "fake" reports online saying school will be closed. If CPS closes schools, it will be announced on the news and through robocalls to parents.
