![]() CPS released budgets to Principals across the district today for the 2018-2019 school year. Overall, the CPS budget is increased by $60 million over the current school year's budget, including a 2.5% increase in the student-based budget, additional funding for special programs as well as at-risk students, and dedicated funds for special education students. Importantly, the funds will be allocated based on current enrollment rather than projected enrollment (which means schools will not lose money next year if they lose students). Our Local School Council (LSC) will provide an overview of the 2018-19 budget at our meeting Monday, April 30.
