Planning for Waters’ Big Night 2017 – taking place on Saturday May 6 – is well underway, and we need your help! It takes a village to pull off our biggest fundraiser of the year, and getting involved is a great way to connect with other Waters’ parents and ensure the event is successful. Here are some easy ways to contribute:
Donate – Do you own a local business or have a skill to share with our community? Please donate an item, gift certificate, or your time, and we will auction it off to the highest bidder. We’re also looking for donations of spirits for a ‘Stock the Bar’ auction item. Send a bottle of your favorite booze, and we’ll add it to the collection. Please contact Lisa Kearney, who is handling donations. The donations deadline is April 1.
Host a Party – Parties are a great way to raise money AND build community. Join forces with your friends to host a parent, kid, or family party. Past parties have included Mommaritas, Kids’ Movie Night, and Men’s Game Night -- be creative! Please contact Vanessa Summer vanvic23@msn.com about parties.
Plan an Amazing Big Night – We’re looking for people to help on the Decorations and Entertainment committees. Contact Elvia Heneghan fundraising@waterstoday.org, or join us at our next Big Night planning meeting on Thursday, March 16, at 8:00 p.m.
Volunteer During Big Night – We’ll also be looking for volunteers to help during the event. Stay tuned!
Attend Big Night – Buy your tickets, and come to the DANK Haus on May 6 to support and celebrate our wonderful school with fellow parents, teachers, and staff.
