Your child can "Fill their Lunchbox"!

10/9/2018

Fill your lunch box is a program for home lunch students or students who don't want the entree offered.  English Flyer   Spanish Flyer

The way the fill your lunch box  program works is any student can have 1- fruit portion (1/2 cup) , 1 - vegetable portion ( 2-1/4 vegetable bags) and 1 carton of milk.

Fill your lunch box participant students do not need to wait in line. They can go directly to the cold section of the line and choose a fruit portion, a vegetable portion and a milk. Then proceed to the end of the line and enter a four digits code assigned to the student into the POS system. ( If the student does not know their assigned code. The lunch room staff have a master list to assist the student.)

If any student does not want any part of the required components of the lunch program or Fill your lunch box programs they can add it to the share baskets. Any student may take items from the share basket.

We hope that are planning to join us for an amazing day of creativity at Waters School on Saturday, October 13th from 9 am to Noon.  View the flyer here.  You can let us know you plan to come by signing up here.  Please sign up by October 10th.

For those of you coming, please plan to bring materials and supplies to share for the Cardboard Challenge on Saturday, October 13th from 9 to 12 at Waters School.  When you come to school that Saturday, please plan to enter in the Annex doors.

We are encouraging families to bring any kind of tape to use and share - masking, duct, washi, scotch, etc. Other supplies such as tin foil, paper rolls, cardboard boxes, and any other recycled materials can also be brought for your child to use and to share with others.

We will also be needing lots of scissors - you may want to put your name on these and bring some for your family to use.

Kids of all ages (and their families) are invited to build something amazing out of cardboard, recycled materials and imagination! This event kicks off this school year’s STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) initiative and Maker Movement, an integral part of our curriculum plan. It is also part of the Imagination Foundation’s 2018 Global Cardboard Challenge, inspired by ‘Caine’s Arcade’.
