 Congratulations to 8th grader, Simone Greicius! SImone has been named one of the Top 300 MASTERS in the 2021 Broadcom MASTERS®, a program of Society for Science. This honor places Simone among a select group of 300 MASTERS named from 1,841 entrants throughout the United States. Broadcom MASTERS is the premier STEM competition for middle school students. Only two projects from Illinois placed in this elite group! Simone’s project will move on to compete in the finalist stage this September. Simone will receive a prize package worth $125 from DoD STEM! Her project sponsor, Mrs. Ballasch, will receive a one-year digital subscription to Science News magazine for the classroom, and a special edition booklet of Science News for Students Invention and Innovation articles courtesy of The Lemelson Foundation.
