 Is your child missing an article of clothing or a lunchbox? We know it's not always easy to get to the school to look through the lost and found. So if you know what might be missing drop us an email at lostandfound@waterstoday.org and we'll look for you. If we find the item, we'll do our best to return it to your child's classroom.  The Waters Local School Council (LSC) will convene tomorrow morning, September 28, at 8:00 a.m. specifically to review the budget adjustments made by CPS according to enrollment numbers on the 10th day of this school year, and to vote to approve the new balanced budget. The next regular LSC meeting will be held Tuesday October 11 at 6:30 p.m.

Ms.Soto's second-grade class has two projects on DonorsChoose right now. DonorsChoose makes it quick and easy to help teachers with supplies and other needs in their classroom. Here's what Ms. Soto needs help with: Booking To The Future Can you remember how awesome it was when you had the chance to read a good book at school? I want my students to have that same chance. My students are avid readers and these books will add to our library and their experiences. Find out more and donate. Code to the Future The goal of this project is for students to be as excited about computer coding as they are about art and recess. We need five computers with touch screens that will be used to learn how to code as well as to teach students how to program computers. Find out more and donate. Your help is much appreciated!  Waters Annual Craft Market
Saturday, December 3 – 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Applications Due Saturday, October 1 We invite newcomers and small-scale Etsy vendors to showcase their DIY talent! The Waters Craft Market supports the students at Waters. Hundreds of neighbors, families and friends come together to attend this annual market for food, fun, community, and shopping. Waters’ Craft Market is a juried event. A table fee of $65, collected upon acceptance, covers event costs. You keep 100% of sales proceeds. Applications are being accepted until October 1st. Fifth through Eighth Grades, Boys and Girls Wednesday, September 21 – Waters Gym 3:20 p.m.- 4:15 p.m. Waters boys and girls in grades 5-8 are invited to join the Wildcats Cross Country Team. Runners will practice on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:20-4:15 p.m., with meets on Thursdays and Saturdays. The first practice is this Wednesday, September 21 and the last meet is Saturday, October 29.
