Community Meeting for Waters Annex

Join us on Thursday, March 7th for a community meeting with the Public Building Commission and Architectural team responsible for the new Waters Annex. This will be a chance to hear the plans for the new building directly from the builders and designers.

Track Sign Ups

Any 5th to 8th graders who are interested in running track this spring are invited to stop by Room 204 to get a registration form from Mr. Wall. Registration forms are due by March 9th. Practices will start on April 8th and will be held on Monday and Thursdays from 3:30 and 4:30. Details about meets to follow. Questions? Please email Mr. Wall.

STEAM WEEK 2019

Do you design, build, engineer or create? Join us for STEAM Week 2019: We Are ALL Makers. Please share your talents with our community. Come and talk with students for 15 minutes or an hour – one class or five.... We want to hear from you in our annual celebration of STEAM and the Maker Mindset. All makers are needed: artists, architects, bakers, builders, quilters, electricians, engineers, designers and much, much more. Please email Mrs. Vecchioni if you can join us for this exciting experience! Thank you for your support!

5:30pm: Doors open
6-6:30pm: Welcoming Remarks and Lake View & Amundsen Student Panel
6:30-8pm: Lake View & Amundsen “Mini-Fairs”

This FREE event is for KIDS & PARENTS from ALL SCHOOLS.

5th-8th graders are especially encouraged to attend, but students of all grades are welcome.

Send in Photos for the Yearbook

The Yearbook Club has been working hard to put our 2018-2019 yearbook together but we need your help! Please send in any photos you have of school events, including field trips, sports, holidays and/or celebrations. We ask that you email the photos to Miss Aguilar (jaguilar122@cps.edu), as soon as possible. Please include classroom number and event name in subject line of the email.

The Yearbook would like all photos to be sent in by March 6, 2019.

Family Night - Opening Reception 2/7/19

Artwork from Waters Students will be on display this Thursday night for the Family Night and Opening Reception of the Inside/Outside Exhibit at the Hairpin Arts Center at 2810 N. Milwaukee on the 2nd floor. The reception will run from 5:30 to 8:00 pm and food will be provided. Please see the flyer for more information. This experience was brought to our students from our CAPE programs.
