Monday June 6 - Friday June 10
Students from the 5th and 6th grade are participating in an effort to change our community, our country, and the world! Students have grouped themselves into a local team, a national team, and an international team. The local group has decided to donate to Performing Animal Welfare Society (PAWS). The national group will be donating money to Flint, Michigan - a city suffering from lead contamination in their water. The international group is donating to the United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), an organization helping Syrian refugees.
All three teams are having a coin drive with the proceeds divided among all three organizations. Anybody at Waters Elementary can participate by donating coins. Please give to these amazing students who are trying to help out and contribute to society! Remember, every coin you donate makes a difference.
