3rd Grade Monster Project: Students drew monsters using the software Paintbrush, and wrote a narrative describing the monster with Microsoft Word.  Each description was given to another student, who tried to recreate the original image from the student’s explanation.  The Fine Arts team (music, drama and art) also worked with the students and our culminating event was a Monster Studio, where children read monster stories and poems, sang The Monster Mash and saw the recreations of the monsters drawn on the computer, sharing their projects with parents.

My monster’s name is Te Te.  Her head is a plum colored rectangle.  Her body is a pink oval.  Her hands are gold circles.  Her legs are blue long.  Her hair is dark eggplant.  She has red eyes.  She has a blue nose and a light blue mouth. She has gold boots.  She loves to skip and run.  She likes to go on her bike.  On Halloween my monster runs around.     By Gwen
