Thank you helping us make our first week of school a success.
We had an AWESOME first week of school! It feels so good to have everyone back in the classrooms, hallways, playground, and our wonderful garden. Waters staff is ready to get back to teaching and I'm sure your children are excited to learn!
During our Continous Improvement Work Plan sessions(CIWP) this spring, we focused on various areas to "work on" at school. One area was the social and emotional development of the children. As a result of this work we have implemented the Wildcats ROAR which stands for the following:
R-esponsible
O-rganized
A-ccountable
R-espectful
We held multiple assemblies to share Wildcats ROAR with all of the children. We discussed the expectations for all children while they are in the hallways, bathrooms, cafeteria and during recess. These expectations are expected to be evident before school, after school and during special events at school. We believe by implementing these standards of expectation we will further develop the Waters school family. Teachers also shared ROAR in their individual classrooms as they developed their classroom norms with the students.
Be sure to ask your child; "What is the Wildcats ROAR?" They will be happy to share!
