On Friday, a team of 7th graders asked if I would help them promote/spread the word about a project they are working on in their social studies class. They are asking for the following donations for a local organization: Canine Rescue. There will be a box outside the office where the donated items can be placed. The donation drive will take place this week Monday thru Friday. Canine Rescue is in need of the following items: bleach, blankets and pet toys. 7th graders Ben, Penelope, Simon, Aiden, and Dylan thank you in advance for your support!
Our 8th graders will travel to Washington DC and our 7th graders will travel to Springfield this month. Students will take in a Cubs game, an annual tradition at Waters! Track meets, volleyball matches and soccer games are underway! Please be on the look out for information about our Literacy Night, Grease the Musical, Spring Book Fair, Walk-a-Thon, Field day, Variety Show and many more activities.
Students will also take the NWEA MAP test in the month of May. This test will determine promotion for 3rd, 6th and 8th graders. If you have any questions regarding promotion, please reach out to your child's respective teacher.
It is a busy time of year so it's easy to miss information. Please keep a close eye on our calendar on the website and of course the green notes blog.
