Many Thank You's...

5/7/2017

Good evening!

This week I would like to recognize and thank those parent volunteers who went out of their way to make our staff feel loved and pampered. Staff was touched by all the thoughtful acts throughout the week. A big thank you to Andrea Goldstein, coordinator of teacher appreciation week, along with many more parents who worked so hard to make this past week so special. And thank you to all the parents who surprised their children's teachers with special gifts.

What a great evening of fun on Saturday at Big Night dancing to the Tommy Bradford Band jazz tunes and the Samba1 Brazilian Dance Group (featuring our very own Waters parent Ariel Barbick). I want to say thank you to WatersToday for organizing such a successful Big Night event on Saturday evening!

Fundraising Chairs Elvia Heneghan and Leah Welty-Reiger led the charge with a huge team of parent volunteers pitching in to make the event successful:
Karen Riggs Nevotti Lisa Kearney, Vanessa Caleb, Leah Welty-Rieger, Rick Bolliger, Sara Aksamit Byerly, Angela Cookie Silvia, Nicole Weber Kerstetter, Amy Yoder, Julie Kudzia-serilla, Cynthia Sanders-Grush, Cynthia Narut, Gabe Lanza, Guy Nickson, Ariel Samuels Barbick, Luisa Franchini Shortall, Vanessa Vickers Summer, Colleen Herman, Clayton Miller, Greg Kobak, Angela Schlater, Brian McNally, Shelly Staat, Alison MacDonald, Laura Earle, Butch, Rebecca Atwood, Jill Brown Smith, Gwen Ihnat, Jill Stocker Gershune, Erica Battin, Megan & Patrick Duffy, Carrie Cyrier Zacks, Carolyn Byerly Dean, Jaime Freedman, David Byerly, Aimee Petersen Schnabel, Karla Gidwani, Kellie Greene Doula, Michael Menelli, Pinar Aral,Victor Aragon, Jason Kraus, Katie Heintzelman Kraus, Jon Szostak, Jason Rieger, John Hess, Serena Hess, Ginevra Stirling Ranney. The are so many others -- all those that helped Julie Kudzia-serilla with the decoration, Leah Welty-Rieger with the Blocks Project, Luisa Franchini Shortall with the Walk from Waters & all those that helped the night of the event.

A heartfelt thank you for the countless hours you dedicated to making this annual event a success!

If you enjoyed yourself and would like to get involved in future Big Nights, please reach out to our WatersToday President Sara Byerly.

Keeping with the theme of teacher appreciation, please read about the impact of one of our very own teachers, Mrs. Ballasch had on a former Waters student. Thank you to all teachers and school staff everywhere! Your inspiration and care does not go unnoticed!
