The student fee helps pay for school-wide educational materials, such as textbooks, consumable workbooks, teacher supplies, and photocopying/technology supplies (like paper and toner)—materials that are not covered by our very limited school budget. Please note the student fee is separate from the cost of student supplies for the classroom that families are also asked to purchase. At the May Local School Council meeting, the council discussed growing concerns about the CPS budget crisis and a motion was approved to increase the student fee for next year to $100/student, with a $250/family maximum. A payment plan will be available.
